Side pruning -
is used to remove limbs or canopy overhanging structures or buildings or interfering with vehicle access.

clears dropping hanging limbs/branches that are interfering with vehicles, lawnmowers or people working under trees.
Selective Pruning -
includes pruning a particular part of the tree that is intervening with a cable, building or another tree.

is a process of training future tree growth.
